Nightmares Unfold Part-1

Nightmares Unfold( Part -1)

(The Shadow at the Foot of My Bed)

1:45 AM – The First Glimpse
I woke up gasping for air, my skin damp with sweat. The room was silent, except for the faint hum of my bedside clock. My eyes adjusted to the darkness, but something felt… off. A presence.
Then, I saw it.
At the foot of my bed stood a figure, motionless and completely still. It was tall, unnaturally so, its shape barely distinguishable against the darkness. No face. No features. Just a silhouette, looming over me.
My breath hitched. I tried to move—but I couldn’t.
Sleep paralysis. I had experienced it a few times before, the horrifying sensation of being awake but unable to move. But this time, it was different. The figure wasn’t a hallucination. It was real.
I tried to scream, but no sound came. My chest tightened as I struggled to force my limbs to move. The shadow didn’t advance. It simply stood there, its head slightly tilted, as if… watching me.
Then, as suddenly as it had appeared, it was gone.
The Next Night – 3:00 AM
I told myself it was just a nightmare. My mind playing tricks. But when I checked my phone, my heart nearly stopped.
1:45 AM – First glimpse.
2:00 AM – Gone.
I had set up my phone to record while I slept. In the footage, I saw myself, still, motionless. Then, at 1:45 AM, the screen flickered. A shadow materialized at the foot of my bed.
It didn’t move. Didn’t breathe. It just… stood there.
At 2:00 AM, the recording cut to black for exactly five minutes. When it came back, the shadow was gone.
I replayed the footage, my fingers trembling. What happened during those missing five minutes?
That night, I left the lights on. But at 3:00 AM, I woke up again.
It was back.
But this time, it was closer.
The Whisper
I could feel its breath, cold and heavy, like a draft from an open grave. My body was frozen, my heartbeat thundering in my ears.
Then, for the first time, it spoke.
"You let me in."
A whisper—soft, almost gentle, but filled with something ancient, something hungry.
The paralysis broke. I shot up, gasping, my hands clutching at the sheets. The room was empty.
But something had changed. I could still feel it. Watching. Waiting.
I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night.
The Last Recording
Determined to prove I wasn’t losing my mind, I set up my phone again.
time, I stayed awake, watching the screen, waiting.
At 3:00 AM, the screen flickered. The shadow emerged.
But it wasn’t at the foot of my bed anymore.
It was standing over me.
The camera shook as the footage cut out again. Another five minutes of blackness.
When the recording resumed, the shadow was gone.
But I wasn’t in bed anymore.
I was standing in the corner of the room, my head tilted at the same unnatural angle as the shadow. My eyes were open, blank, staring at the camera.
Then, I smiled.
Final Lesson:
Some nightmares aren’t just dreams. They’re invitations. And sometimes… you accept them without even realizing it.
